Today we're shipping Kyomi v1.3, and it's a big one. The headline: Kyomi now works with Claude Code and Cursor via the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Your data intelligence follows you wherever you work.
MCP Server: Data Analytics Meets AI Assistants
The Model Context Protocol is Anthropic's standard for connecting AI assistants to external tools. With Kyomi's MCP server, Claude can now:
- Search your data catalog - Find the right tables instantly with semantic search
- Query your data warehouse - Run SQL against BigQuery, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and 6 other platforms
- Access your learnings - Your metric definitions and business rules travel with you
Why Kyomi's MCP Server?
There are MCP tools that let you query databases directly. But raw database access isn't the hard part—knowing which tables to query, how metrics are calculated, and what the numbers mean is what takes years to accumulate.
Kyomi's MCP server brings your team's accumulated data intelligence to any MCP client. When Claude asks "what was our conversion rate last week?", it doesn't just run a query—it knows which tables contain conversion data, how your team defines conversion, and what fields to use. That institutional knowledge travels with you.

Dashboard Discovery Improvements
We've made it easier to find and organize your team's analytics work.
Search Your Dashboard Library
The dashboard list now includes full-text search with smart sorting:
- Popularity (default) - Surfaces frequently-viewed dashboards
- Recently updated - Find active work
- Newest first - Discover recent additions
- Alphabetical - When you know what you're looking for
Dashboard Homepage
Workspaces can now set a homepage—a markdown document that curates your most important dashboards. Think of it as your team's analytics landing page: key metrics, links to critical dashboards, onboarding guides for new team members.
AI Dashboard Tools
The Kyomi agent can now search, create, and manage dashboards directly. Ask "find dashboards about revenue" and Kyomi searches your library. Say "create a dashboard from this analysis" and it generates one from your conversation.
What's Next
v1.4 will focus on the statistical analysis toolkit—giving Kyomi the ability to run t-tests, correlations, forecasts, and clustering directly on your data. The intelligence layer keeps growing.
